Have you read the Hunger Games series? AMAZING, Must-Read. Third book due out in a couple weeks. I just read “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” and can’t wait to read the next in the series. A Reliable Wife didn't do it for me - I quit about 40% through, and I am considering reading My Name is Mary Sutter. I'll download the first 50 pages free for my Kindle and see how I like it. Another favorite that I read this summer was "Waiting for Columbus" by Thomas Trofimuk. I adored Cutting for Stone. I’ve got Lemon Cake and the Lonely Polygamist on my to-read list right now. I liked The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane the best of the 3. (I also read The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake as well as The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon). In my book group we are reading (not in the right order)- The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Lest Innocent Blood Be Shed by Philip P. Hallie, It's Not All Flowers and Sausages: My Adventures in Second Grade by Jennifer Scoggin, 84 Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff, Old Books, Rare Friends: Two Literary Sleuths and Their Shared Passion by Madeline B. Stern, and Leona Rostenberg Death in a Tenured Position by Amanda Cross Kiki Strike by Kirsten Miller I actually read 3 of your upcoming book group choices. Writing titles of books now. Thanks for the tips! I finished the Larsson trilogy this summer and plan to watch the last movie before the summer's out. (Just got it in Norway.) As for your list? I adored Goolrick's book, A Reliable Wife. Oooh. Writing titles of books now. Thanks for the tips! I finished the Larsson trilogy this summer and plan to watch the last movie before the summer’s out.
