Oh, and YES to red velvet cake. My stepdaughter requested it for her birthday this year – instead of ice cream cake from the store. *sniff* It was a moment.

Red Velvet Cake is my crack!!! I love me some lucious, Red Velvet Cake…ummmmm. I have a good friend whose grandmother’s (we call her P-ma, how Southern is that?) red velvet is to d-i-e for.

I really love this cake. I prefer it with cream cheese icing and a double dose of cocoa powder in the mix. If I had a choice for myself I’d be a Lane Cake…many layers of fruit and nuts with a splash of bourbon.
